Where as I think I do a fabulous job of reining in the immature personality (when appropriate), there are still the slip ups and social faux pas made that teach those valuable lessons of what to do and not to do. Sadly, most of the lessons I learn are the ones I was taught as a child.
(what child wasn't taught the concept of respecting another person's property; we all learned it back in preschool... there's a book about that I think, "everything I need to know I learned in preschool" or is it kindergarten?, I've never read it... aaaaaaannnnnnddd I probably won't either, I think the author really messed up with that title, the majority of the masses went to preschool [awww, poor katie], so technically we all already know what is in that book, so why are we going to spend $10.04 [amazon, new not used - who buys used books? you never know when it goes to the bathroom with someone... where do you set it when you wipe?? think about that used book buyers] on a book that we already know the secrets???)
So what lesson did I learn today? Never, under any circumstances, touch another persons cell phone without their permission first, irregardless of how funny you think it will be. Sometimes upon opening ones phone, personal information is displayed. So personal that you feel as if you intruded on another person's privacy to the point of degradation to that person. - And no, it wasn't pictures or anything of a perverse nature (sadly we live in a world where most people would assume that), it was heartbreakingly painful. Something that was meant only for the author's eyes, and I stole that from him.
Lesson I should have known: Respect Other People's Property
